Operation Cookie Drop

Operation Cookie Drop

Girl Scout troops throughout the country support America’s military troops throughout the world as part of the Operation Cookie Drop program.  Established after 9/11, the Operation Cookie Drop program is a Girl Scouts service project initiative that collects donations in order to send Girl Scout cookies to the men and women who are serving in the United States military.
The sweet treats are distributed to soldiers at military bases here and abroad, as well as to wounded warriors, veterans groups, and other organizations.  Donation collections take place at various times of the year and many of the Girl Scouts also include letters or cards to the soldiers thanking them for their service.  Hundreds of thousands of cookie boxes are donated annually and are often presented to military members in person at special Operation Cookie Drop events.

Omni Financial Supports Operation Cookie Drop

Omni Financial is a proud supporter of the Operation Cookie Drop program!  We have plenty of cookie lovers on our staff and every year we are pleased to purchase a quantity of cookies to donate to this great cause.  If you are in our area of Westchester County, NY, stop by Westchester Community College in Valhalla on June 13 for an exciting Operation Cookie Drop event where the donated cookies will be dropped off, unloaded and packed in containers to be shipped to soldiers.  From 8am-12pm there will be an official ceremony including color guard, key note from the honor flight and an Army Captain, and a Music Medley performed by a Master Sergeant from West Point.
